201112 Dress done !

After 1,5 week of work, the dress is finally done !! Well, 70 % of the time I spend on making the pattern :/ And I'm really happy with the result :) It fits me perfectly haha ! It's so funny to say that I am so proud of myself haha, after all it's the 4th dress I ever made in my life ! And it's also the most complicated one too :/ I manage to put on the lining! I've done it two times before on a skirt, and both time I fucked it up... The problem with lining is that the pattern needs to be perfect, with only 1 cm mistake means you need to cut a total new piece. I guess because there were no deadline, and I made this just to improve myself, I didn't panic ^P^ 

I feel the dress really express how I feel right now :)

171112 Let's get fat!

Louise and Marta came over to my place today, and we had this lovely cozy girl night :) Watching movie and eating unhealthy food :) Let's get fat!

Marta made dinner to us, squash pancakes with creme fraiche ^O^ nam nam... And Louise thought me how to make American cheesecake. And it turned out so good! Now, I don't need to bike around in the rain searching for cheesecake (>O<)/ haha! Can make my favorite anytime now ;)

161112 Love it when someone get inspired by my work!

Remember the moodboard I made for my design assignment? Ok, if not it's this one :)

Not long after I upload the picture on facebook, a boy send me a drawing he made inspired by my collage :) I was so happy when I received it. 

I told him to try it with pen, and see how it will turn out ;)

151112 Creative day at TEKO

Today I had my day off, of course I didn't wanted to stay home and do nothing (>O<)/

So I continued on the dress I'm making to myself right now :) All the pattern are done, so I went to the fabric store in Hammerum to find fabric to my dress :) I also went to Stoff & Stil the other day, but I didn't saw anything I fell in love with :/ Still, I somehow went back home with a bag full of fabric (>O<)/ 

I really love the fabric store in Hammerum! It's not so big, but they have many fabric I love! 

I don't know why, but I tend to go to the furniture & interior department first when I'm at a fabric store (>O<)/ I like the feeling of the fabric there better. It's stiff, but at the same time soft. 

The dress I'm making going to be black and white. And I was so happy that I found both fabric I like at the store :) perfect! 

The inspiration for the dress is death & life, so I made this print. Kinda inspired by the human's skeleton. This will be in the front of the dress.

I made a new needle puff ^O^ The other one doesn't really suit my style haha (><)/

This is also the black fabric I fell in love with!!! It looks like leather ;) I'm going to sew my dress in this fabric:)

I put few more quotes on my lovely white walls :)

I placed them near my sewing machines to remind me that I shouldn't panic or go mad if anything goes wrong haha xD Especially when there are deadlines (>O<)/ 

I also reorganize my room a little bit. Found some candles in my suitcase haha xD 

I bought these salt and pepper shakers on saturday :) Just fell in love with it ;) wink wink

111112 Make it work

The school gave me the opportunity to make my own knitted fabric with pattern. Since I am totally into Keith Haring now, I used one of his artwork ;)

This is how the fabric turned out ;) Pretty good :)

This week I hand in a reflection report, and that putted me into lots of thinking. Lately I'm not really in a party mood... I've been thinking and there is a reason why I left my friends and family and came here. I believe I'm not the only one who have sacrifice a lot just to be here... I want to focus on school and work harder toward my dream :) 

Instead of going out friday night, I played with my sewing machines ^O^ 

It's just a basic bodycon dress with sleeves :) Gonna post picture of the whole look tomorrow ;)

I've also spend much time in the sewing building at school. Just totally in love with the machines.. ! Now I have to leave school and catch MTV EMA award 2012 ;)
